Apply For Assistance


All members of the Massachusetts National Guard and Massachusetts residents serving in the U.S. Armed Forces Reserve components who have deployed for at least 30 consecutive days are eligible to apply for a need-based grant up to $1,000. In order to qualify, the financial hardship must be a direct result of activation or extended deployment. Applications can be completed by the deployed solider or the soldier's spouse.

The Board of Directors meets monthly to review applications. Emergencies are handled as quickly as possible on a case-by-case basis. Applicants will be notified of the Board's decision upon the final confirmation of the financial grant.

If you need help completing the application, you may seek assistance from the State Headquarters Family Program Office, your local Family Assistance Center, or the Unit administration personnel.
